Forward Acting Special Bursting Discs

Plug

These plug type bursting disc assemblies are excellent for applications where specific parameters have to be considered; ie Space restrictions, leak-tight integrity, specific connection requirements. All design requirements are
individually addressed and satisfied.

Successfully protecting against overpressure and vacuum conditions in a wide range of industries including; Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Cryogenic, Refrigeration, Nuclear, Offshore exploration,Pharmaceutical and Aerospace.

Designed around the customers pressure, temperature and corrosion resistance requirements, the disc assemblies can be manufactured from a full range of Stainless Steel and Stainless Steel alloy materials and also high performance plastics.

Disc assemblies can be electropolished and gold coated according to customer specifications. Utilising laser welding or special soldering techniques, the bursting disc is sealed into its holder unit prior to being helium leak tested and then subjected to burst testing procedures. They are provided with full testing certification.

Extruder Bursting Discs

A wide range of extruders and machinery in the plastic processing industry are
protected against overpressure and vacuum by REMBE’s extensive variety of extruder plug bursting discs.

All standard connections / bores for pressure transducers resp. probes on plastic extruders can be protected by these extruder plug disc assemblies. Bespoke customer requires are also regularly and successfully addressed.

Standard mounting threads include ½"-20UNF, 5/8"- 11UNC, M18X1.5 and 1-1/4"- 20UNF.

Pressures beyond 1,000 barg and temperatures up to 600 °C are included in the standard range. The special gastight soldered or welded burst disc membrane allows for efficient, dead space free installation directly at the extruder screw.
Integral burst disc signalling can also be included as a standard feature.
