For the REMBE ALLIANCE from Brilon, Germany, the POWTECH (including over 700 expert exhibitors from 29 different countries in 2011) is the ideal platform to engage in communication with customers and potential business partners. Last week, the REMBE-Group, comprised of the REMBE GmbH SAFETY + CONROL (bursting discs, point-, level-, weight-, and flow-metering), KERSTING GMBH SAMPLING + GROUNDING (sampling and grounding systems) and REMBE FIBRE FORCE GMBH (fibre optical and wireless metering systems) took advantage of this platform during the POWTECH 2011 in Nuremberg.
Besides their existing projects, three REMBE-divisions introduced their newest innovations; for example, the RemFlow, a new inline flow and feed rate meter for bulk material, the Oil-Ex-Box, a protection system pertaining to oil-mist explosions in machine housings and the new SparkSafe® - Grounding Clamp, made of conductive synthetic material for spark-free grounding of containers.
Despite a decline in the number of visitors at this year’s trade fair, the fifteen REMBE staff members were extremely busy during all three fair days and were more than satisfied with the visitors’ responses at their booth.
Stefan Penno, Managing Director was “…particularly impressed by the fact that not only our partners, but surprisingly enough, also our competitors praised the REMBE-Team for their proactive demeanour, friendly attitude and evident competency during those discussions taking place on the floor!”
True highlights at the POWTECH were the daily, live explosion demonstrations brought to the visitors by the „REMBE-Pyromaniacs“! Through numerous detonated explosions, Mr. Roland Bunse (MSc and head of the explosion protection division at REMBE) vividly demonstrated which fatal impacts unprotected dust explosions can have and in turn, how the Q-Rohr®-3 (invented by REMBE) is capable of rendering flameless pressure relief in a targeted manner.
Analogue to the POWTECH, the second annual INDEX SAFETY CONGRESS for industrial explosion protection took place. This event was hosted by INDEX, the intercontinental association of experts for industrial explosion protection. During the two-day congress, over 20 internationally renowned speakers presented solutions and concepts for industrial explosion protection. An active interchange of information took place between all participants and opportunities were rendered to update one’s knowledge in the field of explosion protection.
Stefan Penno, REMBE’s Managing Director and one of the founding members of INDEX, is extremely satisfied with the course of the trade fair and congress: “We already have registrations from both participants and speakers for the next congress taking place in April 2013. That is the best confirmation of success one can ask for!”
