The patented REMBE® Q-Rohr®-3 consists of a special stainless steel mesh construction and an integrated REMBE® bursting disc. An integrated controller keeps the plant personnel informed about full operation.
In case of emergency, flames are extinguished and pressure and noise are reduced to negligible levels. No burned or unburned dust passes through. Even the surface temperature (<90° C / 194° F) is cooled down to a minimum.
The Q-Box® II flame-reduced explosion vent can be used to great effect either outdoors or indoors. When used indoors, it dispenses with the headaches of positioning complex, cumbersome and expensive vent ducting.
The Q-Box® II provides low pressure resistance, effectively eliminating flame and heat emissions, and thereby allowing easy indoor installation and positioning of relevant machinery.
When utilising non-water-soluble cooling lubricants with process-related atomisation in machine tools with capsuled workspace, fires and explosions could occur through e.g., total breakage, collisions or mechanically triggered sparks.
The overload pressure and the flame front of an oil mist explosion are lead over a single or multi-vent flap into the housing of the Oil-Ex-Box, where the REMBE® special flame arrester absorbs the energy.
